EXPERIENCED, CAREER-FOCUSED FACULTY

Unlike programs at other schools, the Johnson & Wales MBA program features faculty who are dedicated to teaching and teaching-related scholarship, not research.  Many are still active members of the business community, allowing them to bring experience directly into the classroom.   Our class sizes are small and are never taught by teaching assistants, giving students the opportunity to develop relationships and share learning experiences with faculty and peers.

This active-learning philosophy ensures that students are keeping up with the latest industry insights while learning the skills employers are looking for.

NO GMAT REQUIREMENTS FOR SELECT STUDENTS

If you have a GPA of 2.85 or higher, you are not required to take the GMAT. The minimum GPA required for Official Acceptance is 2.85.

YOUR EXPERIENCE MATTERS

Conditional acceptance to certain graduate business programs may be extended to domestic students who are at least 24 years of age, who have a 2.41 – 2.84 cumulative undergraduate grade point average, and who demonstrate significant evidence of professional success. Students granted conditional acceptance may take a maximum of two JWU graduate courses. If a grade of B or better is earned in each course, the student will be granted full admission to that program. Students who do not earn a B or better grade in each course will be dismissed from the program and unable to apply to any JWU graduate program.

International students: Do you have a three-year bachelor’s degree from another country? Take pre-MBA undergraduate courses to equate your education to a four-year US bachelor’s degree, while you fulfill MBA program prerequisites (Providence only).

* Providence students take their MBA foundation, core, and capstone courses on campus and their MBA concentration courses online only.

** Providence students may take the core and capstone courses on campus and have the option of completing their concentration online or on campus.
